Task Force To Be Set Up State, Division And District Level
Jaipur,Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has directed to set up task force at the state, division and district level with immediate effect to control spread of swine flu and create awareness about the disease. Smt. Raje was chairing a high-level review meeting at the CMO on Tuesday evening.
As per the directions issued by the CM, state-level task force would be headed by Dr. Ashok Pangaria, a member of the Chief Minister Advisory Council's Health sub-group. At division level, the Divisional Commissioner and at district level the district collector would chair the task force. The task force would hold meetings to review the situation on day-to-day basis.
In the meeting, the CH also directed the schools in the state to put off daily morning assemblies for a few days. She also directed the medical and health department officials to hold discussion with the Indian Medical Association, Physicians Association, Pediatricians Association and Private Practitioners Association.
Smt. Raje appealed to the public not to panic and take doctor's advice as soon as the symptoms of the disease are witnessed as it was possible to cure the problem with proper and timely medication. She directed the officials to issue directions to the doctors across the state that they should start required treatment as soon as the patients with symptoms like flu, headache, fever, sour throat approached them.
In the meeting, the officials of medical and health department informed that for treatment of swine flu enough stocks of Tamiflu medicine were available in all districts. Also, in all districts, in-charge officers have been deputed from the state level.
Health Minister Rajendra Rathore, Chief Secretary C.S. Rajan, member of Health sub-group of Chief Minister Advisory Council Dr. Ashok Pangaria, Principal Secretary Medical & Health Mukesh Sharma, Additional Director National Rural Health Mission Neeraj K. Pawan and other officials of the health department were present in the meeting.
