RAJASTHAN ROUND TABLE OF BUSINESS STANDARD GOVERNMENT IS NOT WORKING TO ACHIEVE NUMBERS, OUR AIM IS TO FULFILL THE PROMISES MADE: CM

Jaipur, Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara said that our government is not working to achieve numbers for TRP but our aim is to fulfill the promises we made and work for the welfare of the people of the state. She appealed to the media to cooperate to highlight the good works done by the government. She said Rajasthan Model of Development is making its identity in country and around the globe.  Smt. Raje was addressing the 'Business Standard Rajasthan Round Table - 2016' at hotel Marriott on Wednesday. She said steps like creating investor friendly atmosphere, introducing labour reforms, strengthening of infrastructure, Ease of Doing Business etc. has brought Rajasthan in the front line of investment destinations of the country, she said.  The Chief Minister said people generally talk about negative things while positive side should also be seen. Media can play important role in highlighting the works done. Positive works in the state should also be appreciated, she said. She expected that media will cooperate in highlighting public welfare schemes and programmes introduced by the state government. She assured that things are going to change in the state in the next two and half years. Smt. Raje said Bhamashah is India’s first of its kind DBT scheme which dovetails financial inclusion with women’s empowerment. Rajasthan has been one of the first states in India to rationalize archaic laws, she added. The Chief Minister said today development scenario in Rajasthan is changing. Our labour sector reforms that aimed at Ease of Doing Business by small units without compromising the interests of labour are the benchmark for the rest of the country. Through ‘Nyay Aapke Dwar’ campaign more than 20,000 camps have been organised in these two years. Total 522 Gram Panchayats were declared litigation free; 15 lakh revenue records were updated and more than 69 lakh families have been benefited in these camps, she said. The Chief Minister while mentioning Resurgent Rajasthan summit said our aim never was to achieve numbers. We engaged with our industry partners and presented them incentives that were attractive. 470 MoUs with an investment projection of USD 50.26 Billion have been signed so far. A large proportion of the proposed projects are in various stages of implementation. The next step is to bring to the farmer the best in technology. In November this year, the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet is being organized with this objective in mind.Smt. Raje said our government has initiated Mukhyamantri Jal Swawlamban Abhiyan which became public campaign. Miracle has happened as after the start of rainy season and water is overflowing from many water structures. Near these water structures 25 lakh saplings are being planted. If 40 percent of these plants remain alive then there will be 10 lakh trees. She said our effort is to start the second phase of Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan in November this year.In the beginning of inaugural session Editor of Business Standard Shri A. K. Vasundhara Raje.           Industry Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Principal Secretary, Medical & Health Smt. Veenu Gupta, CII, Rajasthan Chairman Shri Rajat Agarwal, CMD of Kajaria Ceremics Shri Ashok Kajaria, President JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. Shri Arun Kumar Bajoria, CEO of Holiday IQ Shri Hari Nair and other dignitaries were present during the inaugural session.
