Governor’s Greetings on Ambedkar Jayanti
Jaipur, April 13. The Governor of Rajasthan, Smt. Margaret Alva, has paid her tribute to the memory of Bharat Ratna, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, on his 123rd birth anniversary.
“Dr Ambedkar, a tireless crusader against caste discrimination and a great thinker of modern India, helped lay the foundations of parliamentary democracy. While we have come a long way in our struggle against caste-based discrimination, it still persists in many forms. Let Dr Ambedkar’s life and message be an inspiration to all of us to build a modern and inclusive India, committed to social justice and equity”, Smt. Alva said in her message.
