Narendra Modi files nomination papers in Varanasi, says Maa Ganga has called him here

Varanasi: BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi today filed nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections from here amid huge support from the party workers.
Modi was accompanied by close aide Amit Shah, and BJP leaders Ravi Shankar Prasad and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi when he reached the District Magistrate's office to file his nomination papers.Among those who proposed his nomination were Madan Mohan Malaviya's grandson Giridhar Malaviya, Padma Vibhushan awardee Chhandu Lal Mishra, boatman Virbhadra Nishad and Ashok, from the dominant weaver community.
 Ahead of filing nomination papers, he told reporters that, "No one sent me here, I feel Maa Ganga called me."Tens of thousands had gathered here today to join a roadshow.The crowd earlier during the day massed outside the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) where Modi paid tribute to the founder, Madan Mohan Malaviya, at the start of the show of strength.

His supporters kept raising slogans praising Modi.
