Pak violates ceasefire again

Jammu, Pakistani troops today violated the ceasefire for the second time in four days by firing with small arms and automatic weapons on Indian posts along the LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Army troops guarding the borderline retaliated and the exchanges between the two sides were going till last reports came in. "Pakistani troops resorted to small arms and automatic weapons firing on Indian posts along LoC in Bhimber Gali in Rajouri district from 5.15am", a Defence spokesman said. Army troops guarding the borderline fired back resulting in intermittent exchanges of fire, he said, adding, "firing exchanges are still going on".

There was no loss of life or injury to anyone on this side of LoC, the spokesman said, adding that no damage was caused in the firing. This is the second ceasefire violation in the past four days along LoC in JK. On April 25, Pakistani troops violated ceasefire by firing with small arms and mortars on Indian posts in Doda battalion areas along LoC in Poonch district.
