 New Delhi,   The President and Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces Pranab Mukherjee conferred Uttam Yudh Seva Medal to Lt Gen Arun Kumar Sahni, GOC-in-C, South Western Command for distinguished service of an exceptional order at a Solemn Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 02 May 14. The President on this occasion also conferred three Kirti Chakras and Nine Shaurya Chakras to Armed Forces personnel for displaying conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage and extreme devotion to duty. 

13 Param Vishist Seva Medals, three Uttam Yudh Seva Medals, four Bar to Ati  Vishist Seva Medals and 23 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals were also conferred to senior officers of the Armed Forces.
