New Delhi, Veteran Congress leader and former Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari (89) reportedly got married to Ujjwala Sharma, mother of his biological son Rohit Shekhar at his residence in Lucknow on Thursday.
Significantly, the development came two weeks after Ujjwala Sharma had
reportedly staged a dharna outside former Uttar Pradesh chief minister’s home
for not being allowed to stay with him.
The 89-year-old senior Congress leader tied the knot to Sharma, two
months after he admitted that Rohit is his biological son after years of
denial.
In March this year, Tiwari at a press conference patted Shekhar, and
spoke about his long relationship with Ujjwala’s father and former defence
minister Sher Singh.
Shekhar had filed a paternity suit against Tiwari in Delhi High Court
in September 2007, claiming he was born out of an affair between the Congress
leader and his mother Dr Ujjwala Sharma.
A DNA test ordered by the court had established Tiwari as Shekhar’s
biological father.
