New Delhi,The Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
today commended the people of Uri and announced the fulfilment of a request
made by them with immediate effect.
In his address after dedicating to the nation the Uri-II hydropower project, he said the people of Uri had requested that the Kendriya Vidyalaya in their town, which is currently only till Class 10, be extended to Class 11 and 12.
Praising the people for this request, Shri Modi said a nation where people place emphasis on education has a bright future. He announced that the Kendriya Vidyalaya would start enrolling students from Class 11, this month itself.
