DESW Conclave, a two days event was conducted successfully on 11-12
September 2014 under the aegis of South Western Command. The conclave was
inaugurated by GOC-in-C, South Western Command who in his opening address
brought out the uniqueness of ESM human resource and its importance in nation
building. He sounded very optimistic about the objectives of the conclave being
accomplished. The focus of the first day was to highlight the competencies of
ESMs, employment opportunities in Rajasthan and sharing of aspirations of ESMs
towards resettlement. Besides the need to evolve a synergy between different
agencies working towards ESM resettlement was emphasized.
The concluding day of the conclave witnessed huge turnout of ESMs and their
active interaction with the HR reps of the industrial sector.
Thus the objective of enhancing the visibility of the competencies of ESMs
& their latent potential in nation building activities has been
accomplished. The conclave has also been successful in the launch of new vistas
for the employment for the ESMs in the industry. The impact of the event on the
future employment generation for ESMs would certainly lead to the conduct of
similar events in various other parts of the country.
