ARMY CONDUCTED EDUCATIONAL TOUR FOR YOUTH OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR TO UDAIPUR



Udaipur, Indian Army organised an ‘Educational Tour’ to Udaipur for 29 youth of the remote area of Thelela Dist in Jammu and Kashmir.  After visiting Delhi and Noida, these youth reached Udaipur and visited the city from 10 to 14 October 2014.

            This visit was undertaken under the aegis of Indian Army under project ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ with the aim to spread the message of peace, harmony and also give the youth of Jammu and Kashmir a brief exposure to the great history of the country, glimpse of lifestyle of the people of Rajasthan and the environment in other parts of the country.

            The five days visit to Udaipur was organised by Konark Corps, during which these youth visited Vintage Car Museum, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udaipur City Palace, Udaipur Fort, Pichola Lake and Museum.  They also interacted with students of Pacific University, Udaipur.


            The tour instilled a sense of awareness and national integration amongst the youth of these areas and will go a long way in integrating people of J&K with other States of the country.
