Council for infrastructure Development Constituted


Jaipur, The State Government has constituted the Council for Infrastructure Development (CID) under the chairpersonship of the Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje, with a view to decide on the policy issues pertaining to infrastructural projects, specifically in relation to projects being developed on Public Private Partnership (P.P.P.)
The Council for Infrastructure Development shall consist of P.W.D Minister, Water Resources Minister, Energy Minister, Chief Secretary, Advisor(Infra. & PPP), ACS (Infra) and Pr. Secretary (Finance) as its members. The Secretary, Plan will be the Convener, while Concerned ACS/ Pr. Secy./ Secy. will be the Special invitee of the council.
The Council for Infrastructure Development will deliberate and decide on issues pertaining to Institutional mechanism for implementation of P.P.P. projects, areas to be taken up on PPP, modeling of risk matrix and related concession in various scenarios, any other policy related issued creating an impediment in successful roll out of infrastructure projects on PPP basis, if project cost is beyond financial powers of the departments, or higher than Rs. 500 crore. The Chairperson may also co-opt experts and members for specific inputs.
The Meetings of the Council for Infrastructure Development will be convened as often as required. The Planning Department will serve as Secretariat of the Council for Infrastructure Development.
