high level delegation under the chairmanship of four bordering states of
Indo-Pak border reached Jaisalmer Airport .
Meeting held in the campus of Border
Security Force Sector Jaisalmer(North)
to ensure sealing of Indo-Pak border and to develop a comprehensive
integrated security grid with proper co-ordination among all four bordering
states and national security agencies.
During meeting Union Home Minister emphasized on forming of a border
security grid which will be formed with all stakeholders as its members. It was
also decided to use technology in border domination especially in Rann of Kutch
and riverine border area. It is planned that Indo-Pak border will be sealed by
2018.
After the meeting Union Home
Minister Rajnath Singh with delegation left for border area. Where he
visited BOP Murara and Nalka. During this visit he interacted with the jawans
and appreciated the duties being performed by them. He also took Sainik
Sammellan there. Afterward Union Home left for Jaisalmer.
Vasundhra Raje Chief Minister of Rajasthan welcomed Rajnath Singh, Union
Home Minister, Kiran Rizazu, Minister
of Home Affairs(State) by presenting them bouquet. Apart from them, Pradeep Singh Jadeja, Home
Minister of Gujarat, Addl Chief Secretary (Home) M S Dagour and P P
Pandey, DGP of Gujarat State, Sh Sukhbir Singh Badal, Dy Chief Minister of
Punjab, Addl Chief Secretary (Home) Punjab Jagpal Singh Sandhu, B R Sharma Chief
Secretary J & K, Shri R K Goyal Chief Administrative Secretary (Home) of
J&K State also reached Jaisalmer Gulabchand Kataria, Home Minister of Rajasthan was also present.
On this occasion, K K Sharma, DG
BSF, Arun Kumar, ADG BSF Western Command, Rajiv Krishna, IG (Ops) BSF,
Dr. B R Meghwal, IG BSF Rajasthan Frontier were present in the meeting.
Whereas, Manoj Bhatt DGP Rajasthan, Chief Secretary(Home) Deepak Uprati, Dy
Commissioner Jodhpur Rattan Lahoti, DM Jaisalmer Matadin Sharma, SP Jaisalmer
represented the state. Senior Officers from Air force and Army were also
presented there.
