Jaipur. All bad and good powers of this world exists
within us. We need to identify the good powers; and if we are able to focus our
best powers on one goal, success is destined to be ours. Anita Khatri has lived
these words propounded by Swami Vivekanand. Since childhood she treasured the
dream of being in limelight and at the age of 63 accomplished by winning the
title at "Mrs. Universe Grandma Contest" held in Sofia, the
capital of Bulgaria.
Former Mrs. Rajasthan in the year 2012, And Mrs.India, Woman of Substance in
the year 2017, Anita Khatri has not only earned a name in the world of
Glamor but is also a well established successful business woman. At Mrs
Universe GrandMa Contest in Bulgaria, despite being the most senior
participant, she won accolades for India, attributed to her determination and
self confidence. The contest drew participation from 19 countries, where Anita
Khatri could capture constant attention of the jury members through the three
rounds to win the title. During the first round of national introduction Anita
Khatri dressed as Maa Durga, the embodiment of feminine
power. In the second round of talent and culture, she won admiration of all by
presenting the Dance of Ghoomar - pride of Rajasthan. The
Evening did see her as a star when the Jury crowned Anita Khatri as Mrs.Earth
Granda and presented a sash. It is worth noting that this is the first time
India has participated in Mrs. Universe Grand Mother Contest being organised
since 2012.
Women between the ages 40 and 60 years from 19 countries Canada,
Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK, Bulgaria, South Africa, Switzerland,
Philippines, Australia and others represented their countries. Jury
members granted special entry permission to Anita Khatri irrespective of her
age of 63 years.
Anita Khatri is also recipient of FICCI Flow Award -2015, Jaipur
City Icon Award -2016. Along with her business she has been fulfilling her
social responsibilities by running an awareness campaign to protect children
from sexual abuse. "Sampuarna-ek nai kalpana" is a non profit
endeavour, organising free seminars, conducted by Anita Khatri in private,
public and government schools. Children are also offered solutions through a helpline
number.
