New Delhi,The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today
offered floral tributes to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, on his birth
anniversary, in Central Hall of Parliament.
The Speaker, Lok Sabha - Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, the Union Minister for
External Affairs and Overseas Indian Affairs - Smt. Sushma Swaraj, the Union
Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and
Parliamentary Affairs - Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Minister of State for
Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge), Environment, Forest and
Climate Change (Independent Charge) and Parliamentary Affairs - Shri Prakash
Javadekar, Shri L.K. Advani, and other dignitaries were also present.
"On Bal Gangadhar Tilak's birth anniversary, we salute the great
freedom fighter who ignited the spark of patriotism with a call for
'Swaraj'," the Prime Minister said.
