Udhampur,The Annual Day
function of Army Goodwill School, Naugam was conducted today. The school
is being run under the aegis of Army Frontier Division, and holds the
distinction of standing First in 8th class results
consecutively for the last two years. Maj Gen Anil Chauhan, GOC, 19
infantry Division was the Chief Guest for the function. A first of its kind
education program called, “Teach Next” an Interactive class room, was also
inaugurated by the Army General. This program is aimed at enhancing the
knowledge of the students in Information Technology and also to online
interaction for employment opportunities available in the various parts of
country. A large number of people including parents, staff and students
gathered to witness the programme.
A two minute’s
silence was observed to pay homage to the tragic loss of lives in the recent
calamity that struck the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This was followed by a
cultural programme by the students.
Prizes were given
away to the staff and deserving students. As a special prize, ‘Calling Tablets’ were awarded to students adjudged Best in attendance,
academics and co-curricular activities.
