CM’S SINGAPORE VISIT
Jaipur, Chief Minister Smt.
Vasundhra Raje on her first day official tour to Singapore held a formal
meeting with Shri S. Iswaran, Minister with PMO, Second Minister for Home Affairs
& Second Minister for Trade & Industry, Singapore. Both leaders held
discussion about the possibilities of Singapore companies tying up with Indian
counterparts in medical technology, electronics, urban development, waste
management etc.
The Singapore Minister showed
interest in reforms being brought about in Rajasthan and appreciated that the
state goverment was focussing in ease of doing business.
Shri Iswaran thanked the Chief
Minister for engaging with Singapore and suggested that the small and medium
companies of the city state could be a fruitful possibility in promoting
investment in Rajasthan.
The CM assured Shri Iswaran of full
cooperation of state government in inviting and fecilitating Sigapore
companies, both large and small. Smt Raje also briefed him on the newly
launched Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2014 and Rajasthan Solar Policy.
As a build-up to the Resurgent
Rajasthan Summit proposed to be held in 2015, Shri Iswaran assured of regular
exchange of information and cooperation from the government and businesses in
Singapore.
Smt. Raje was accompanied by
India’s High Commissioner to Singapore Smt. Vijay Thakur Singh, Additional
Chief Secretary Infrastructure Shri C. S. Rajan, Principal Secretary Industry
Smt. Veenu Gupta, Principal Secretary Finance Shri P. S. Mehra and Secretary to
CM Tanmay Kumar.
