National Unity Day
Jaipur, Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, administered an oath of commitment towards national unity to students at the Government Girls' Senior Secondary School, Malviya Nagar in Jaipur on Friday.
Remembering
the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his contribution to unification of
the country Smt. Raje said that he was a great leader and true patriot. She
called upon the young children to pledge to keep the country's unity and
integrity intact and commit themselves to the service of the nation. This would
be true homage of the nation to Sardar Patel, she said.
Chief
Minister said that we all should take inspiration from his life and follow his
ideals. She said that on this occasion citizens should also take a resolution
to work towards upliftment of their villages, tehsils, cities and the state.
She said that one needed to contribute selflessly for the nation.
After
administering oath, the CM met the students and spent time with them. The
students were pleasantly surprised to find the CM amongst them.
