RAJUVAS is organizing "International Symposium on New Horizons of Camel Surgery and Large Ruminant Surgery" from 15-17 October, 2014 at Bikaner



Bikaner,Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Bikaner is going to organize "International Symposium on New Horizons of Camel Surgery and Large Ruminant Surgery" and 38th Annual Conference of Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery at College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Bikaner, the desert city well known for camel research and tourism from 15-17 October, 2014. Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. A.K. Gahlot informed that Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, CVAS, Bikaner is first in India to start experimental surgery in live animals. RAJUVAS stands pioneer in developing camel surgery at National and International level. The noteworthy innovative surgical technique of camel was "Inter-dental Wiring" for repair of mandible fractures. RAJUVAS has a special facility of operation theatre for camels, which is a unique feature in itself. According to Prof. B.K. Beniwal, Faculty Chairman & Dean this conference is expected to be attended by 500 delegates from India as well as foreign countries. Prof. T.K. Gahlot,  Organizing Secretary reported that there will be twelve sessions on Anesthesiology, Radiology and Imaging Techniques, Equine Surgery, Large Animal Surgery, Small Animal Surgery, Avian Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Wild and Zoo Animal Surgery in addition to the Award session.
