Udhampur (J&K),National Integration tour organised for the girl students of
villages located in remote and far flung areas of Poonch district under
Operation Sadbhavna by Rashtriya Rifles (Romeo Force) was flagged in by Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Northern
Command at Udhampur today. The
tour was aptly named 'Karwan-E-Aman' as its aim was to bring awareness about
the rich historical and cultural heritage of the country and to have a glimpse
of India.
The tour comprised of 21 girl students and two lady teachers and
visited Amritsar and Chandigarh. In Chandigarh they visited Rock Garden, Rose
Garden, Pinjor Garden and the popular Sukhna Lake and Water Kingdom. In
Amritsar the tour visited the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Wagha Border.
