Lucknow, Four people were feared dead
and over 100 were injured as eight bogies of a Jammu-bound Muri Express
derailed here in Uttar Pradesh today.
The Muri Express, on way to
Jammu Tawi, derailed between Sirathu and Atsarai railway stations and one of
them overturned, said Chief PRO North-Central railway Vijay Kumar. He said
that relief and rescue teams have been rushed to the site.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav
announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh for the deceased and directed Chief
Secretary Alok Ranjan to make available all necessary help to the victims.
