Jodhpur,The Fifth Indo-French bilateral Air Exercise “Garuda-V” is scheduled from 02 June to 13 June 2014 at Air Force station Jodhpur. The previous edition of this exercise was held at lstres , France during 2010.This aim of this exercise is to enhance Defence co-operation between India and France; and learn through a better understanding of each other’s operational capabilities. The exercise would help both Air forces in appreciating the intricacies of planning and conduct of combat missions in an operational environment.French Air Force is participating with Rafale aircraft. KC-135 Flight Refueller aircraft along with its Air Force personnel, Indian Air Force is participating with SU 30 MKI, MIG27 UPG,MiG-21( Bisons), IL-78 and C-130J aircraft.
