Force week is being celebrated by the Air Warriors and their families at Air
Force Station Jaisalmer to commemorate the 82nd anniversary of
Indian Air Force.
The
celebration will be kicked off with a special drive Blood Donation Camp at Air
Force Hospital Jaisalmer, which will be inaugurated by Air Commodore
Chandramouli, Vishist Seva Medal, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station
Jaisalmer on 29 September 2014. A host of events spanning over a period of two
months has been planned towards the celebration. These includes Cultural
programme at Station Sports Ground on 01 Oct 14, Static Display of Aircrafts
and Equipments on 04 Oct 14, Sports activities for Children & ladies and
cross country for Air warriors and school students on 05 Oct 2014. Tea party
for Civilians, DSC and NCs(E) on 07 Oct 14, Air Force Mela on 12 Oct 14, Vasectomy
Camp at Air Force Hospital on 14 Oct 14 etc. Apart from these activities an
Oath taking ceremony for air warriors will be held on 08 October 2014, where
all air warriors will take oath and reiterate their commitment to serve the
country in the times of war and peace alike. Adventure activities like power hand glider,
parachute and parasailing will be organized from 15 Oct to 15 Nov 14.
