Jaipur, As a prelude to
the Resurgent Rajasthan Conclave scheduled for next year, Chief Minister Smt.
Vasundhara Raje flew off to Singapore on her first official visit abroad from
Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi on Saturday morning.
Before her departure, Smt. Raje said that the state government was very serious about the Resurgent Rajasthan event. With the aim of overall and comprehensive development of Rajasthan, her government was committed for promoting investment in the state, she said. She stated that her focus was on studying and adopting new models and increasing partnerships in the sectors like infrastructure development, water management, urban development, energy, technology and tourism.
CM said that she was visiting Singapore to explore possibilities of engagement in different developmental projects including water management, infrastructure and urban development sectors etc. for widespread development of Rajasthan. She would also participate in a business meet.
Smt. Raje said that every country or a state needs to have its own model of development and various developmental projects were to be designed in accordance with the special circumstances of the state. During her tour she would try to understand the unique features of various projects and managerial systems in Singapore in the context of overall advancement of Rajasthan, she said. Possibilities of participation in different sectors would be explored while focusing on promotion of investment, she added.
In this regard, Smt. Raje would hold discussions with seniorgovernment functionaries of Singapore, public representatives, senior managers and officers ofprivate enterprises.
A high-level delegation of the state government officials and business leaders from the state are also a part of the Chief Minister's tour to Singapore. The delegation includes, Additional Chief Secretary (Infrastructure) Shri C.S. Rajan, Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development) Shri Ashok Jain, Principal Secretary (Finance) Shri Prem Singh Mehra, Principal Secretary (Industries) Smt. Veenu Gupta, Secretary to CM Shri Tanmay Kumar and Member of the CM's Advisory Council Smt. Meera Mehrishi. This team would depart from New Delhi to Singapore on Sunday.
At New Delhi airport, Member of Parliament Shri Dushyant Singh, Principal Resident Commissioner, Government of Rajasthan at New Delhi Dr. Savita Anand, Additional Commissioner Shri Vimal Sharma and other government officials saw Chief Minister off at the airport.
