Jaipur,As part of the Army Day 2015 celebrations the Army on 13
January organized a Blood Donation Camp in Jaipur Military Station. The
camp was organized by Jaipur Military Hospital and Lions Club Jaipur (West).
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Lt
Gen HJS Sachdev, Chief of Staff Sapta Shakti Command. Speaking on the
occasion Lt Gen Sachdev said that army not only protects the sovereignty of the
nation by shedding its blood during war but is also aware of its responsibility
towards the welfare of the citizens of the country during peace.
During the camp more than 100 serving personnel
and their families from Jaipur garrison donated blood voluntarily. The donors
were given a certificate for their contribution. A team from Swasthya Kalyan
Blood Bank, Tonk Road assisted in conduct of the camp. The donated blood will
be handed over to Swastya Kalyan Blood Bank.
