SHEKHAWATI CYCLE EXPEDITION CONCLUDES SUCCESSFULLY


Jaipur​,  Shekhawati Cycle Expedition of Indian Army which was flagged off from Jaipur on 03 January 2015 to commemorate fifty years of 13 Rajputana Rifles was Flagged In after its successful completion at Sapta Shakti Prerna Sthal Jaipur by Brigadier Charandeep Singh, Commander, 45 Infantry Brigade on 20 Jan 2015 and other dignitaries.
      The expedition team comprised 11 participants of 13 Rajputana Rifles. Cyclists covered a distance of 992 Kms from Jaipur via Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Narnaul, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur and Dausa through the historically acclaimed warrior land of Rajasthan in this duration.The team led by Captain Gyan Bahadur Thapa took route off the main highways and interacted with veterans of Indian Army and locals. These army personnel got an opportunity to get acquainted with the regional culture.The team  members met with the local youth,visited schools and colleges and motivated the students to join the Indian Army for serving the Nation. Pamphlets were also distributed to Ex- Servicemen on latest benefits being provided to them by the Army.
