LAHORE, Imran Khan, the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chairman, said on Tuesday that sincerity and
commitment was required by both Pakistan and India to resolve the lingering
Kashmir issue, a private news channel reported.
Addressing
a public gathering in New Delhi, Imran said, "People of both Pakistan and
India want good relations and they want their leaders to resolve the
longstanding Kashmir issue through peaceful means."
Imran
met former Indian prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and stressed improvement
in relations between Pakistan and India. Mr Vajpayee presented his poetic
collection to Imran, saying his message of peace should be conveyed to the
people of Pakistan.
